I agree with a lot of this post, and it's part of the reason why I rreiafn from calling shows such. Though I have to wonder what you mean by banalities , in the case of shows like Hidamari Sketch. And are you saying that in this case, the focus isn't so much on a realistic depiction of events, but rather how those events are presented under the SHAFT treatment?
